SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 14, 1999--Western Water Co. (NASDAQ:WWTR) announced today that Michael Patrick George has been elected to the additional post of Chairman of the Board of Directors. He replaces Peter L. Jensen. The announcement was made today at the company's annual meeting, held in Los Angeles. George has been the company's president and chief executive officer since April 1998. In commenting on the decision of the Board to elect him Chairman, George said: "I appreciate the confidence expressed by our Directors, particularly in light of the Company's current challenges.
